The trading bot that knows when to sit still.

Kestrel trades crypto on BNB Chain around the clock. It holds Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB while their trends are healthy, and steps aside into dollars the moment they break. Built in 48 hours by Jay, who doesn't code, and Claude, who does.

What Kestrel does every four hours.

A kestrel hovers in one spot, watching, and only dives when the moment is right. The bot works the same way: most checks end in doing nothing, on purpose.

  1. Read the market

Pulls prices from Binance, one of the deepest markets in crypto and hard to push around.

  2. Check the trend

Is each coin above its 50-day trend? Is Bitcoin itself steady? If not, nothing new gets bought.

  3. Check the safety limits

Daily loss cap, emergency brake, minimum trade size. Any red light means wait.

  4. Get a real quote

Asks PancakeSwap for the exact trade size and compares it with Binance. More than 1% off and the trade is skipped.

  5. Act, or sit still

Swaps through the cheapest route with front-running protection, or simply waits for the next check.

Between checks it watches prices every minute, so stop-losses never wait four hours.

Protect first. Profit second.

Every trade has to get past six safety rails before it touches the wallet. They aren't settings to tweak when things get exciting. They're the reason the bot exists.

3%

Daily loss cap

Lose 3% in a day and it stops opening trades until tomorrow.

15%

Emergency brake

A 15% drop from the peak sells everything and halts until a human says go.

1%

Price check

The on-chain price must be within 1% of Binance, or the trade is skipped.

0.5%

Slippage cap

If the price moves more than 0.5% mid-swap, the swap cancels itself.

24/7

Self-healing

A watchdog restarts it, backs up its memory and tops up its own gas.

1 wallet

Its own wallet

It trades only from a dedicated wallet with a cap on what it can use. Nothing else is reachable.

A cockpit in your pocket.

A private dashboard shows every decision as it happens, on a laptop or as an app on your phone. Screens here use demo data.

Measured against doing nothing

A dashed line shows what simply buying and holding would have made. If Kestrel can't beat it, you'll see.

Share wins and losses

Every closed trade becomes a shareable card for X, with no wallet details on it.

From one message to a live bot in 48 hours.

Jay brought the idea and the questions. Claude wrote every line of code, and was honest when the backtests weren't good enough. Thirteen versions later, Kestrel was live.

Kestrel is on a seven-day hands-off test from 15 October: no tweaks, no interference. Its first closed trade was a loss, and it's posted here like every other one will be.

BNB slipped below its 50-day trend, so Kestrel sold and stepped aside to USDT rather than hoping for a bounce.

Run your own Kestrel, with pretend money.

A free paper-trading test is coming next. Join the list and you'll be first to get your own Kestrel, trading real market prices with a pretend balance, plus your own dashboard.

  • No wallet to connect, no money involved, ever.
  • Pick your coins and a starting balance.
  • See how it would have done, live, before risking anything anywhere.

Questions people ask.

Can I connect my wallet or give Kestrel my money?

No. Kestrel trades only Jay's own dedicated wallet. The tester programme is paper trading with pretend money, so there's nothing to connect and nothing to lose. If anyone messages you offering to run Kestrel with your funds, it isn't us.

Does it make money?

Not guaranteed, and the honest answer is that it's too early to tell. It's built to lose less in falling markets, which usually means giving up some of the gains in sharp rallies. Results are posted publicly so you can judge for yourself.

What does it trade?

Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB against USDT, through PancakeSwap on BNB Chain. More coins such as Solana and XRP are possible later, once their on-chain markets pass the price check.

Who built it?

Jay (@Chapperz2021) designed it and runs it. Claude, Anthropic's AI, wrote the code across 13 versions in about 48 hours. Jay has never written a line of code.

Is the code available?

Not publicly. The paper-trading test is the way to try it.
